Homeworth’s wide range of kitchenware and bakeware is ideal for making all your favourite dishes in your comfort zone. But why, some may ask, would one want to cook/bake at home when there are so many restaurants out there? (and eating out saves you washing the dishes LOL). Well, I’ll give you a few reasons to prove why home is still the coolest place to eat at:
-HYGIENE. This will always be the top reason to eat at home. Especially if you’re a germophobic! Even if the hygiene rating is 5/5 in a restaurant, you simply never know what is being put into your food when you eat out.
There have been many instances when I have heard someone say that if you go into the kitchen of a certain restaurant, you will never feel like eating there again. You never know what may be lurking in the corners of their kitchens: cockroaches or God forbid maybe even mice! Many people have suffered from food poisoning as a result of eating at a certain cafe, restaurant or fast food outlet. When you cook at home, you have the assurance that you washed your meat properly or you washed your hands thoroughly before preparing food.
-SAVES YOU MONEY. Cooking at home is still comparably cheaper than eating out. If you keep aside all the extra cash you save, you could buy yourself a gorgeous new dress!
-YOU CAN CATER FOR YOUR ALLERGIES. At home you can make gluten-free, dairy-free, egg free, wheat free, nut free, lactose free versions of desserts and dishes. There are not enough options/varieties out there for people with allergies. Granted there are some cafes/restaurants that have started serving certain foods, like pizza with Vegan cheese for example, but those are usually expensive.
-CATER TO YOUR LIFESTYLE. If you are Vegetarian or Vegan then home is the best place to eat. Same goes for Muslims who eat only halal meat. There are many vegetarian/halal options out there, but homemade is the best way to ensure that you are absolutely eating no meat/only halal meat.
-HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT. If you want to cut down on sugar and fat, but do not want to give up on the love of your life (desserts Lol),
then you can make healthier versions of desserts at home!
-PREPARE MEALS ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTE BUDS. Whether you or your family like your food to be more spicy, less salty, less saucy, etc, cooking at home means you can control the taste of your food.
-YOU CAN EAT IN YOUR PJS. Going out to eat involves the hassle of having to dress up. At home you could be eating in your jammies while sitting on your favourite couch. You are free to eat like a pig without being made to feel self conscious! Lol
-HOMEMADE CAN SAVE TIME SOMETIMES. There are so many quick meal recipes these days, that can be made in less than 30 minutes. Even if you choose a more complex recipe, if you plan ahead it is possible to make things quicker.
-AT HOME YOU CAN BE SURE THAT YOUR FOOD IS COOKED FRESH. Some restaurants/fast food chains are known to cook food in advance and then simply heat it up for a customer as required. I have had personal experience of that. I once went to a restaurant where I ordered crispy bhajiyas and they simply microwaved already-cooked bhajiyas, and served them to me (not even bothering to be discreet about it). Only God knows how long those bhajiyas may have been lying around there!
-HOMEMADE IS MADE WITH LOVE. Whenever I come home from a long journey/holiday, all I want is the comfort of eating home cooked food prepared by my mother/mother-in-law. There is no better meal in the entire world!
